Where are the migrants’ families?

Alright here is something you may want to consider:

This document shows that all those 20 to 30 year old fellas have the right to reunify their families once they are successful asylum seekers – or migrants – whatever.

They can bring their wives. They can bring their children. They can bring dependent parents of adult refugees. They can bring other dependent relatives – such as single brothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, etc. They can bring other dependent members of the family unit. Sometimes families have taken in and cared for other unattached persons, such as friends or foster children, to whom they are not actually related by blood.

So, what does this mean in context? From this source, average Syrian household size was 6.30. Do the maths.

Further research: this document specific to Germany states:

“Family reunion:

“Refugees recognised under big asylum are entitled to family reunion with their spouse and unmarried children less than 18 years of age. Family reunion with other family members may be granted, provided that the refugee is able to support him/herself and provide accommodation for the additional family members. Unaccompanied minors are entitled to family reunion with parents and minor siblings.

“Refugees recognised under small asylum are not automatically entitled to family reunion. The decision is at the discretion of the Aliens Authority in the refugee’s place of residence. Family reunion requires that the refugee can support his/her family members with adequate housing and income.

“Asylum seekers granted tolerated status have no right to family reunion, however, in exceptional circumstances it is granted on humanitarian grounds.”

Digging around for the smoking barrel that shows how quick you can resettle your big family in Germany v less “safe” european countries, lets just say that some estimates place the Afghanistan family size at 7.4 – but don’t believe us, do your own research…

The smoking gun around how long it takes to resetlle the family is key.

And the Iraqi family size is right up there too. Safe to say, being Muslim, having a large family, identifying as a refugee and sending your men to a EU country with a quick asylum process and the fastest family reunion is literally a no brainer.
