See what I did there? I’ve still got the Midas Touch when it comes to headlines.
From news.com:
Former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews addressed the controversy surrounding his attendance at Wednesday’s military parade in China.
Andrews has copped a tidal wave of backlash following the release of a photo with himself and multiple dictators, including Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin…
“I’ve said for years that a constructive relationship with China – our largest trading partner – is in Australia’s national interest and hundreds of thousands of Australian jobs depend on it. That hasn’t changed,” he said in a statement.
It’s always convenient when the so-called “national interest” coincides with one’s personal interest.
“It was a chance to meet and engage with regional leaders – like former New Zealand prime ministers John Key and Helen Clark, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and, of course, Chinese President Xi. We also shared in an official photograph…
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has refused to condemn his former flatmate’s decision to join the parade in Beijing.
But for the first time, the Prime Minister offered a hint of criticism, conceding that attending the dictator parade was something that “nobody in his government would have thought of doing.”
…
But in parliament, Liberal leader Sussan Ley opened question time with a question to the Prime Minister on the unfolding controversy.
“Today I once again unequivocally express the coalition’s utter condemnation of former premier Dan Andrews’ attendance at the CCP military parade, where he stood with dictators, despots and war criminals like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un,’’ she said.
“Will the Prime Minister show the necessary leadership to join with us and so many other Labor leaders in this condemnation?”
This is all so stupid.
The Chinese government never forced Victorians to wear masks. Xi Jinping never sacked Victorians for refusing to inject poison. Vladimir Putin never fired rubber bullets at Victorians for opposing lockdowns.

It is telling that none of the politicians criticising Dictator Dan for meeting Asia’s rulers mention the corrupt, iron grip with which he brutalised Victorians, because they too played their own part in Covid Tyranny.
All are damned.
Moreover, no Chinese, Russian or North Korean government has ever imported millions of foreigners into Australia against the will of its population, and openly repressed any attempt to reverse this policy of mass immigration. That was done by a succession of Australian governments, both Labor and Liberal.
Here we get to the hypocrisy at the core of Dictator Dan’s latest debacle. There is no material difference between the “democracy” our self appointed moral guardians in Canberra represent and the “dictatorships” they are so furious and Dictator Dan for cavorting with.
This goes deeper than the Australian government’s restrictions on free speech both online and in real life, its war on cash or the similarity of the West’s unofficial social credit score enforced by non-state actors with China’s official social credit score enforced by the government.
Fundamentally, Australians have no way of reversing the most important policy threatening our existence as a people – mass replacement immigration. In order to achieve this, we would need a new political party which actually represents the will of Australians. If the political system does not allow us to create this party, the political system itself will need to be changed.
