Today’s quote of the day comes from Bret Stephens, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal.
Stephens writes:
“Now 129 people are dead in Paris because Europe decided to make a fetish of its tolerance for intolerance and allow the religious distempers of its Islamist communities to fester over many years. That’s what happens when you sanctify political tantrums, explain and appease them, refuse to name them, try to look away.”
Mr Stephens, you have cut through the nonsense and confusion that is plaguing the West as it grapples with Islamic extremism and terrorism. There is nothing further we could add. And that is why we name this as XYZ’s “Quote of the Day” for Friday 20th November, 2015.
