The Slovakian stance and the coming Caliphate of Europa
As far as European holidays go, Slovakia is not often on the list of ‘must see’ destinations. The much neglected ‘other half’ of what was once Czechoslovakia, as an independent nation in its own right Slovakia has a rather inglorious history, being a client state of Nazi Germany during the Second World War. These days, one might call into the capital Bratislava on a Danube river boat cruise, but many will choose to stay on the boat. Bratislava has little to compare to the splendors of Prague and Budapest, and few stand out or ‘must see’ attractions. For backpackers, scenes from the movies ‘Hostel’ and ‘Eurotrip’ will inevitably be in mind as they skirt around the border of Slovakia, bound for the Czech Republic, Hungary or Austria.
Although derided, and gleefully depicted in film, as a culturally and economically impoverished backwater, somewhere in the middle of Europe, Slovakia may in fact, turn out to be one of the smartest countries in Europe. In the light of the refugee crisis gripping most of continental Europe, with some 260,000, predominately Muslim, asylum seekers filling camps in Turkey and Greece, and more making the perilous journey across the Mediterranean Sea on a daily basis, Slovakia has announced that it is prepared to assist with re-settlement, but on one condition. Said Interior Ministry spokesman Ivan Metik:
“Slovakia… will only accept Christian migrants when it takes in Syrian refugees under an EU relocation plan… as Muslim migrants would not integrate as easily into Slovakia’s predominantly Christian population… We could take 800 Muslims, but we don’t have any mosques in Slovakia, so how can Muslims be integrated if they are not going to like it here?”
One can only marvel at this dose of plain, old fashioned common sense. Either Mr Metik is blissfully ignorant of the thought police and the army of professional offence takers lining up to shout him down as racist and Islamaphobic, or he’s one of those thick skinned individuals who just doesn’t give a stuff. The actions of Slovakia, and the common sense approach of Mr Metik, represent a rare, and somewhat courageous, intervention in the migration debate, that may, hopefully, represent a shift in the immigration debate and a fork in the road for others to follow. For too long now, assorted human rights lawyers, activists, and campaigners have owned and controlled the immigration narrative, striking down rational sounding solutions – like the novel idea that a sovereign nation should decide who can and who cannot cross its international borders – as violations of international law, and as examples of wealthy western nations not doing their bit for the poor and displaced in the world, and as manifestations of colonial era hangovers. In Australia, we know all about this. The current federal government have successfully closed the nation’s borders to boatloads of asylum seekers, most of whom have curiously lost their passports and other documentation (anything that would reveal their actual identity in fact), and many of whom are fleeing civil wars in places like Sri Lanka, for instance, wherein the civil war actually ended some years ago. Even though the harsh policies introduced by the government have actually worked, and the flow of asylum seekers, together with the hundreds of deaths at sea, have in fact ceased, political activists like the Greens, egged on by the left wing media, and assorted groupings of unemployed types who prefer to protest rather than work and contribute to society, continue to vilify the government and the nation as racist, backward, lacking in compassion, and needlessly cruel, and are ever keen to insist theses life saving policies are in violation of some international convention or law devised by suits in Geneva or New York, who would apparently prefer people drown at sea so as to provide opportunities for human rights activists to demonstrate their compassion and concern.
The reality is, no doubt, there are many desperate people in the world, fleeing real conflicts, such as that in Syria. A further reality, routinely denied, is that many people seeking asylum in places like Australia, Canada, and Europe, are simply looking for a better life. In short, they are economic migrants. The patent fiction of pretending otherwise was delightfully exposed in the Australian context by one representative boat load of prospective refugees from southern India, whose boat was returned to its port of origin in that nation. Tracked down by the state owned broadcaster, the ABC, no doubt at great time and expense, and in the fervent hope the failed ‘refugees’ would accuse the authorities of hard-heartedness, if not abuse, and plead their case to be genuine, the boat people instead freely admitted to being economic migrants who had destroyed their travel documents at the request of the people smugglers whom they had paid to take them across the Indian Ocean.
Slovakia shows the way when it comes to fact over fiction, and pragmatism over perceptions. Casting an eye west, to places such as France, Belgium, Sweden, and England, wherein uncontrolled Islamic migration has resulted in whole suburbs and cities being colonised, and in which the vast majority of immigrants have not, or simply do not, integrate, and live on welfare as a drain on the nation not a net contributor to it, and reproduce at rates several times higher than that of the indigenous population, the Slovaks have considered replicating the same social disaster in their own fair nation and said,”Thanks, but no thanks!” Not for them, the future Islamic Republic of Slovakia. As Mr Metik helpfully pointed out, Slovakia does not even have a mosque, how could Muslims be happy there? It probably has lots of pork on the shelves of its supermarkets, and bikini wearing women, and many other un-Islamic characteristics too. Mr. Metik is just being helpful, and at the same time adroitly avoiding the suicidal foolhardiness of other European nations, who have solved the problem of not having a mosque by building one at their own expense, helpfully printed welfare applications in Arabic, and congratulated themselves on their humane social policies whilst they are, quite literally, bred out of existence. Although he didn’t say it, one gets the distinct impression that Mr Metik was implying that Slovakia, as a Christian country, would very much like to stay that way, even as it remained a mosque free destination, thank you very much.
The wheels of history and of demography are yet to turn for Slovakia, in a way that, tragically, they already have for many other European nations. There was a time when western governments and their leaders, in many places across Europe and beyond, including here in Australia, could have stared down the politically correct offence takers, the activists, and the Socialist morons, screaming for open borders, and resisted the po-faced lawyers and human rights careerists crying racism and demanding compassion, and acted to preserve and protect their own culture, religion and identity. Tragically, for many, that time has now passed. Although it is quite unspeakable in polite company, the uncomfortable reality that western nations must face up to, is that Islam does not come to integrate, it comes to colonise. Islamic migrants, with some honourable exceptions (such as secular Iranians and Turks, among others), do not come to adapt to and adopt the local culture, they come to dismantle it.
It is a hard reality to hear in a harshly counter cultural way, and it is very politically incorrect to say it, almost to the point of illegal or at least on the cusp of illegality in some jurisdictions – but the cold, hard truth, that those western leaders seemingly determined to commit cultural suicide, must face up to, even if it is already factually too late, is that the end game insofar as of mass Islamic migration is concerned, is the Caliphate. To actively facilitate one’s own demise, and incredulously, to even finance it, is beyond stupid. When the death wish is ultimately fulfilled, and come the Islamic Republic of France, the Caliphate of Belgium, and the ISIS invasion of Greece, it is possible that the stance taken by Slovakia today, may well mean that Bratislava will among the last bastions of Christianity on mainland Europe by the end of the 21st Century.

Why I vote for the Greens
This hilarious video by the Chaser has been doing the social media rounds over the last few days.
Whilst the Chaser clearly had a left wing bent, they were funny none the less, and would sometimes set their ridiculing sights on leftists and progressive targets. This is one of them.
I doubt the Chaser fully realised the enduring humour and insight of this particular skit, as it reveals several of the main Green voter stereotypes, yet rather accurately portrays their personalities and the reasons why they in fact vote for the Greens.
Of course, as this video shows, voting for the Greens is as least as much about ‘image’ and posturing, as it is about policies and outcomes.
Check the clip out below, and have a good laugh.
While you’re at it, I think I am going to have another look, and a good chuckle myself.
It’s the XYZ.
The bottom feeding relationship between the welfare state and needy migrants
Migrants are dying. Dying as they cross the Sahara, cross the Mediterranean, cross from Indonesia (well, they were, sorry Greens – that is now cancelled). And they are dying as they congregate in Calais to travel from France into Britain.
You might call these pointless deaths. I think the progressives would, but there IS a definitive, almost singular point:
Benefits.
Job prospects and safety are much less important to prospective migrants, down there with integrating into host communities and fleeing the Islamic ideological system. These days, most of the Islamic world can claim refugee status, because, well, under their ideological system, they are really threatened with death. From other Muslims, mostly. And most majority Muslim countries have poor economic prospects.
So, would be migrants can travel for benefits and the ticket price is pretty much to say, “I am Muslim,” which obviously means “I am a refugee.”
So, why do the migrants not stop when they are safe. Because they don’t migrate for safety, but for benefits. The progressives demand generous benefits to ensure the human rights of the immigrant. And these benefits are the lure for the migrants, worth risking death.
So they come. And die.
Those European countries with poor benefit systems, mostly in Eastern Europe, are not targets for migration. Ominously, Southern Europe has done its dash and is in effect a migrant transit country.
Their once generous benefits are peeled back by austerity, which is enforced by looming sovereign debt defaults. Ask Greece. Long story short – benefits are migrant bait, and the more generous they are, the less sustainable they are.
So, although you may see creaking government services, inadequate school systems, hospital issues, pensioner issues, rest assured, the migrants are coming. It does not get any better than this.

The protein problem: why eating too much chicken might not help your diet | Life and style | The Guardian
The sort of thing that occupies the earnest types at The Guardian.
“From the standpoint of climate change, plant-based diets win every time,” says Marion Nestle, professor of nutrition and public health at New York University. “Plants have plenty of protein and the protein is high enough in quality as long as the foods are varied – combining beans and rice, for example. All of the major concerns about diets – greenhouse gases, environmental degradation, treatment of animals and human health – all get taken care of by diets that are largely, if not exclusively, plant-based.”
So red meat is out due to climate change concerns – cows farting I expect. And there are concerns about the ethical farming of chicken. But it’s not all bad news for the discerning Greenie, wanting to dine in an earth conscious sustainable way, that reduces their carbon footprint, whilst, at the same time, ensuring they are not pronounced clinically dead.
Apparently there’s quite a bit one can do with bok choy and boiled rice. Bon appetite leftards.

Ever wondered what life would be like if groups like Greenpeace and Green political parties ever actually gained real power and were able to implement their policies? Wonder no more. This fascinating report in the UK Daily Mail provides a glimpse into life in a commune in which members live out the Green dream.
Residents grow organic crops, and spend their time making rope hammocks and tofu (of course). They share everything, including their partners, and live on an allowance well below the poverty line. Whereas most women would seem to want control of their own bodies, not so in this Green paradise. Members of the community must have permission from all should they wish to have a baby.
Founded in 1967, the community members do seem to resemble ageing hippies who have not noticed the Age of Aquarius is over. Nonetheless, they do seem very content and, apparently, there is actually a waiting list to get in.
It’s amazing how attractive a life of shared poverty can appear. But then again, it never ceases to amaze too how many seemingly sane and rational people actually vote for The Greens.
Source: Virginia commune Twin Oaks where EVERYTHING is shared but residents need permission to have a baby | Daily Mail Online Weekend In-Depth: The Moment I Stopped Caring about Racism
In my student days I lived in a typically “progressive” inner city sharehouse, with fellow students and young adults who held all the correct views on immigration, racism and the War on Terror – basically, the Buck Fush brigade. One episode sticks in my mind to this day, when one of my properly and unproblematically “progressive” housemates objected to one potential new one, on the grounds they were Asian and didn’t have very good English.
A few years later while I travelled through the USA, I was struck by the humility, openness and generous hospitality of Red State Americans. I had been expecting brashness, arrogance, but the closest I got to this was on the “progressive” coasts.
I think some people are dismissive of the kindness of Southern hospitality because, “Hey, they’re all a bunch of racist homophobic bigots.” But I am more inclined to think, “What is the point of adhering to every politically-correct way of thinking, speaking, and viewing the world, if you are a jerk to your fellow human beings.” Of course I am generalising here, but lessons such as this helped me to resist the social conditioning to which I was subjected in my 20s.
Exploring a similar line of thought, my school days were made a misery by relentless bullying, not for any particular reason other than people realised I was the sort of person who could be bullied easily. A swift punch to the jaw sorted a few of them out, but the older you get, unfortunately this becomes less and less acceptable. When I reached University a fresh start was well and truly made, but it was disconcerting to be told, repeatedly, that as a white male, my hardships were inconsequential, that I had lived a privileged life and had never had to face any real hardships.
Again, such life lessons made me skeptical of the idea that bullying someone on the basis of their race is any worse than bullying someone on the basis of being, well, themselves. The long-term effects of bullying throughout someone’s life remain regardless of race.
Before you think that such a line of reasoning makes me a racist, I would point out that this exact argument has been made before, by people who generally are on the left, or of “minority” backgrounds. When Andrew Symonds was called a monkey by Harbajan Singh on the 4th of January 2008, during the second cricket Test of the series between Australia and India, the contextualisation brigade went into overdrive. It was alleged that the Aussies were bullies, and that their bullying was every bit as bad as the racism of Harbajan Singh and the Indian crowds who had taunted him. The Aussies’ very demeanour was labelled racist. The fact that we won all the time, and had a nasty habit of grinding teams into the dust, was racist. We were racist because we were white. We were racist because we were racist. The Indians couldn’t be racist, even to the dark-skinned Symonds, because Symonds was from a privileged country and the Indians were from an underprivileged country. Racism, in an inverse relationship to satire, only counts when punching down.
Apparently.
The pick of the bunch came from Sunil Gavaskar, who argued that the white match referee was racist for taking the white Ricky Ponting’s word over the brown Sachin Tendulkar’s.
“Millions of Indians want to know if it was a ‘white man’ taking the ‘white man’s’ word against that of the ‘brown man’… By accepting the word of the Australian players and not the Indian players, the match referee has exposed himself to the charge of taking a decision based not on facts, but on emotion.”
Thus, it became racist for a white person to accuse a non-white person of racism.
This was the moment I stopped caring about racism. I had seen the boundaries of the definition of racism moved constantly throughout my life. It had moved from the quite simple understanding that racism falls under the principle of the Golden Rule – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” – to a more complex, and conveniently flexible definition – “It’s not what you say, it’s who you are.”
This informed my fury this year when Adam Goodes started getting booed, and the PC brigade, the same brigade who had moved heaven and earth to contextualise the racial slur against Andrew Symonds, repeated ad nausea that the booing was a black-and-white case of racism. It doesn’t matter that you think you are booing him because he humiliated a 13-year-old girl on national television. Your unconscious racism is showing.
Where were these jerks when Andrew Symonds was called a monkey? Where were they when he was forced out of the game in disgrace, betrayed and disillusioned? Why weren’t they calling for Symonds to be named Australian of the Year for taking a stand against racism? Of course, they were busy taking the exact opposite line of argument to what they do now. The concept of racism the “progressives” adhere to is a con. It is clear-cut red line for one situation, but clouded in grey for another. It is racist to call Adam Goodes an ape, but not inexplicable for Andrew Symonds to be called a monkey. Racism has become a weapon to be wielded for political advantage, and to advance left-wing political agendas.
Many, many Australians, of every colour and ethnicity, are waking up to this fact, and calling it the con it is. We know that it is far better to be branded, unjustly, a racist, than to be a jerk.
Good work Marines – never give in to terrorists!
I want to commend the courageous actions of two United States Marines who overpowered a would be terrorist who opened fire on a train traveling between Amsterdam and Paris yesterday.
“Without their courage we would have surely faced a terrible tragedy,” French interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.
At least one of the marines and several others were injured in the attack, however the attacker, armed with an assault rifle was overpowered by the men and detained and arrested in the French town of Arras.
If there is one thing we have learned about terrorism is that we can not give in or surrender to their violence or demands.
We learned this lesson during the September 11 attacks in 2001. When the passengers on the fourth plane that had been hijacked had received word of the other hijackings, the passengers decided to fight back:
“Five calls described the intent of passengers and surviving crew members to revolt against the hijackers. According to one call, they voted on whether to rush the terrorists in an attempt to retake the plane. They decided, and acted.
At 9:57, the passenger assault began. Several passengers had terminated phone calls with loved ones in order to join the revolt. One of the callers ended her message as follows:’Everyone’s running up to first class. I’ve got to go. Bye.'”
Like the marines, the passengers of United Airlines flight 93 knew that they couldn’t give into the demands and violence of terrorists, and their courage and sacrifice likely saved the lives of scores of others.
United States asks Australian Air Force to ‘reach for the sky’ over Islamic State in Syria
The United States Government has formally requested that Australia send in six of its FA/18 Super Hornets to begin bombing raids in Syria. The Royal Australian Air Force war planes are currently based in Dubai and haven’t been involved in bombing ISIS targets in Iraq.
As the Australian Government considers the United State’s request, Prime Minister Tony Abbott stated: “While there is a little difference between the legalities of airstrikes on either side of the border, there’s no difference in the morality.”
Australian forces have been stationed in the Middle East and engaged in the war to ‘degrade and destroy’ ISIS for the last 12 months or so.
There are around 400 Australian servicemen and women deployed, and Australian forces have been involved in taking out some of ISIS’s most significant targets.
I want to thank the Australians serving in this conflict – you are indeed standing up against the spread of evil and in defence of the innocent. Keep up the great work.
As a token of encouragement, I commend to you this appropriately bombastic and jingoistic song by 1980s styled ‘hair’ band Firehouse:
‘Reach for the sky
Or I will shoot you down in the blink of an eye
Reach for the sky
There’s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
Reach for the sky
I got the drop on you so raise them high
Reach for the sky’

Clem-Nazi: Our favourite feminist hypocrite
Our favourite femi-nazi Clem Ford shows her softer side. These two endearing tweets manage to combine a racist taunt with a foul torrent of personal abuse:
In both cases this abuse is directed at other women. Two women who happen to hold conservative political views. If she were a man, directing this at two women, Clem would have been shown the door pronto, and would be scouring Seek for alternative employment as we speak – but who are we to raise the ‘gender’ issue?
In any case, Clem’s argument is something to behold, is it not? No room for rational argument or a reasoned counter narrative here. Just vile abuse. How intellectually bankrupt. How pathetic. Come back to the party Clem, when you can put a sentence together long enough to contain something that resembles an actual argument.
Greens announce the Richard di Natale national tour – long queues expected, get your tickets now!
BREAKING: Exciting news for the perpetually outraged and professionally offended. Bugger One Direction and piss off Kim Kardashian. It’s the Richard di Natale national tour!
What wouldn’t you do to get a ticket and hear the great man whine on for an hour or two about the sort of old school socialist fantasies everyone else left behind upon reaching adulthood? So unless you have poolside seats for the synchonised swimming or a day out at the croquet booked – get there any way you can.

Aussie cricket sectors: Cheers for standing by your men
After two humiliating Test losses in as many matches, and a wimp surrender of the Ashes to England, the Australian Cricket team was subjected to one of the most intense bouts of bagging it has received in its history. This wasn’t entirely without merit, given the seemingly myopic inability, or refusal, of the Australian top order to adapt to English conditions.
Thankfully, the advice given by every past cricketer in the world, and every cricket columnist in the country, on how to bat in English conditions has paid off. The Aussie top order appears to have gotten the memo to leave the wide ball, play late, soften the wrist to negate nicks, and overall, to bat with a lot more patience. This return to good old fashioned Test cricket appears so far to have resulted in greater success, (as we type, Australia sit on 4, crap, 5 wickets for a score in the 300’s,) and is a great example of the old saw, ‘the more things change, the more they stay the same.’
What is refreshing for this amateur cricket commentator, is that the Aussie team was very shrewd about which advice to accept, and which advice to reject. There was a going line that new captain Steve Smith would inherit a shell of the side that lost the Ashes, with one commentator predicting that 8 or 9 of the team would never play Test cricket again.
But this was grossly unfair. Chris Rogers was clearly the most competent of the top order at handling the swinging English ball, made a massive ton at Lords, and fought hard in Australia’s losses. You know what you are going to get from Dave Warner, so why sack him now? Steve Smith – double ton at Lords, new Test captain and a clear leader for the next decade. Michael Clarke is clearly out of form, inhibited by injury, and has been declared the devil incarnate by the Australian media, but it still would have been a brave selector, (and I mean brave in the full “Yes Minister” meaning of the word,) to drop him for his farewell Test.
Voges may be lucky to have kept his spot, but it was a fair call to drop the unlucky Shaun Marsh. In his place, Mitch Marsh has clearly earned a recall through good tour form. I may be one of the only people in Australia to believe Shane Watson still has a Test future, but hey, I’m even outnumbered here at The XYZ on this one. Haddin did not deserve to lose his spot once he became available again, but Peter Neville has played gallant fighting innings when the chips weren’t just down, but thrown out in the trash. As for the bowlers, after following the usual Australian habit of bowling too short in the first Test of an English tour, they have been tremendous, and with just a little more patience, nous and luck from the top order, may have been able to pull off a miracle or two. As a Victorian though, I must say that it is good to see Siddle return.
So it is clear that the selectors recognised that there was a strong case to retain the bulk of the side, and, as they perceived after the first Test loss, they only needed to make a few key improvements and their fortunes could well and truly be reversed. Australia’s disasters in these Ashes are far different to the several seasons of disaster we faced in the late 2000’s – back then there had been a clear drop off in form, talent and confidence after the retirement of a host of greats, and it took an enormous hard slog to get back to the top. The disasters at Edgbaston and Trent Bridge were not caused by systematic inadequacy, but simply the wrong approach.
So cheers to the Australian selectors. You have held your nerve, and it is paying off.
Slovakia takes stand on cultural identity
A new development in the European immigration crisis has emerged, with Slovakia stating that it will only accept Christian refugees from Syria, in a program designed to help Syrians escape Civil War and refugee camps. Both sides of an interesting discussion forming around this issue have, so far, only spoken publicly in smoke and mirrors; the Slovaks are saying that Muslims “are not going to like it here” because there are no mosques, and after all, Slovakia is only a transit country; meanwhile, EU and UN spokespeople have stated that the migrant intake should be “inclusive” and not based on “discrimination,” (a dog-whistle accusation of racism.) What is quite possible is that Slovakia is taking a stand, and it is upsetting the agenda of EU decision makers.
This story raises several important questions:
Does accepting large number of Muslims into a country equate to a fundamental challenge to that country’s character and identity?
Is it racist to only accept migrants of a certain religion from another country but not of another religion?
Is this a sign that Slovakia is giving legitimacy to a growing feeling in the West, the idea that Islam and The West are diametrically opposed in identity and outlook, because one is open and flexible, while the other is not?
We will seek to answer these questions and to expand on this issue over the coming days.
It’s your XYZ.
Silence in the face of evil
Last night I shared this video on my Facebook timeline:
(Warning – graphic violence – link to video)
The video upset some people because of its graphic nature, so I added in a warning to alert people to its content. I was asked by a friend: “why post this violence, Jeremy?”
My answer was, “because it’s happening, and I don’t want it to happen.”
Unfortunately because of the barrier of language, I do not have a clear idea of the context of this video and the motive of the attack. The translation offer by Bing says: “Muslims attack a two jansh in Morocco.” But what occurs in the video, as a young woman tries to escape and shield herself from the relentless punches and kicks from more than a dozen young men, speaks for itself.
The Facebook page that it was initially shared from is one belonging to a blogger based in Tehran. My gathering from the page is that its purpose is to inform the world about the shocking violence and atrocities, and the oppression that is commonplace in the Middle East and Islamic culture. No doubt, if the authorities, or any number of Islamists got hold of this blogger because of what he exposes, he’d be in jail or a dead man.
These graphic videos are hard to watch, and we do not need to constantly expose ourselves to their violence at graphic content. But we do need to be informed.
I have little doubt that attacks such as this have happened in Australia, beyond the gaze of the authorities and the media. I have little doubt that these kinds of attacks will become more common, not only in the Middle East, but throughout the West and our own nation.
And we must be aware of what is going on. We must not ignore what is happening, just because it makes us feel uncomfortable. If we do, we turn a blind eye to the suffering of others, and we bear our own culpability in doing so.
One of my heroes is a man by the name of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. During the Second World War, Bonhoeffer was behind a plot to have Adolf Hitler assassinated. Bonhoeffer did not come to this position lightly, as it is worth pointing out that Dietrich Bonhoeffer was an ordained Christian minister.
In 1943, Bonhoeffer was captured by the Gestapo due to his involvement in the assassination plot, and was imprisoned for 18 months before being transferred to a Nazi concentration camp. Bonhoeffer wrote during his time in prison, and fortunately, he managed to have some of his manuscripts smuggled out. After a brief trial, Bonhoeffer was executed by hanging on 9 April 1945, just two weeks before Allied forced liberated the camp, and three weeks before Hitler’s suicide.
Bonhoeffer’s death, though tragic is utterly heroic. In his own words, Bonhoeffer said:
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.
God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”
We need courageous people like Dietrich Bonhoeffer to remind us that we cannot ignore or appease the violence that is being committed around the world. We must stand firm and resolute in the face of evil. We need to name it for what it is, and act against it.

Dumb and Dumber
Only the Labor Party could be this dumb (on second thoughts, maybe that’s insulting to the Greens). But one can only marvel at the spectacular incompetence and singular stupidity of the Australian Labor Party.
Who else could bring you the atheist Prime Minister with openly gay front bencher who both said they opposed gay marriage for no apparent reason? Who else could design a tax (the mining tax version 2) that didn’t actually raise any money, but insist it would make money and spend all the money it never raised anyway? Who else could send an entire nation completely broke and cripple it with massive debt during a once in a generation mining led economic boom of epic proportions? Who else could insist hundreds of times in the nation’s parliament that the budget would return to surplus when Labor hadn’t delivered one for decades, were never going to, and probably couldn’t even turn a profit at a Country Women’s Association cake stall using wholly donated goods.
And the icing on the cake, the piece de resistance – what other bunch of clueless nincompoops masquerading as a government could introduce a public holiday that no one actually wants but, you guessed it, the Labor Party?
It really doesn’t get any dumber than this, excepting perhaps the morons who actually vote for this bunch of ex union officials and trough fed lawyers.

Quote of the Day: Sound Advice for a Wannabe Bride
The comment feeds on The XYZ Facebook page the last couple of days have been a magnificent source of inspiration. Thanks to an excellent suggestion of one of our followers, The XYZ has started a Go Fund Me campaign to help Australia’s Favourite Deputy Mayor pay his $220 fine for hosting the Wedding of the Century. Unfortunately, so far Australians appear to have cold hearts. Come on Australia! Give!
And in response to a heartfelt open letter to Coles supermarkets revealing the trauma a simple stroll through the self-checkout aisle can bring him, one of our regular posters had some kind words for our resident philosopher, Boethius:
“Chuckle chuckle. Seriously Boethius, this is no laughing matter. Having been a bride once myself, I genuinely feel your dis dress and it’s an absolute discriminatory display of sexism. These large corporations have no heart. If you want to be a bride you must summons the masses who share your innermost desires, which must be met, and presto – after a few short weeks of marches and media cover – a new anti discriminatory law will be passed. The brotherhood will stand with you on such an urgent and relevant issue. I will even make the veils for you all, however, I hope green is your colour, I can’t see you achieving traditional (we can’t have that) White. Please shave before your big day. Good luck.”
Congratulations, you just made Quote of the Day.

Breaking: Grand Final Eve Public Holiday named “Goodes Friday”
Breaking news. Victorian Premier Dan Andrews and the AFL have just announced the new public holiday on the Friday before the Grand Final will be known as ‘Goodes Friday’. ‘Black Friday’ had apparently been considered in deference to Goodes’s Celtic/Irish heritage, but it was considered that too many Australians would not have felt sufficiently marginalised were that antiquated term adopted.

Coles under further pressure for selling offensive magazines
A draft petition to Coles – re. sale of offensive literature, please consider joining my campaign and signing
I’m outraged and offended that Coles continue to display and sell Bride magazine. As a middle aged heterosexual man I will never be a bride, even if gay marriage is introduced. I experience feelings of heightened anxiety whenever I approach the check out at Coles, knowing that Bride magazine may well be on display, right in my face as it were. It always seems to be prominent on the magazine rack, reminding me of that which I will never attain. I go home feeling violated and ashamed. On one occasion I sat down in front my television after an especially traumatic experience in the self check out aisle, whereby a young lady in front of me was actually reading Bride magazine, and loudly discussing the front page article with one of the Coles staff members, in a way that seemed to be directed at me. I collapsed onto my sofa at home and turned on the television to find myself watching ‘Married at First Sight.’ My sense of powerlessness was overwhelming, as though all my dignity as a human being was being stripped away, and my rights were of no consequence or importance. Shame on you Coles. Remove Bride magazine from sale now!
