United States and Kurdish forces have stormed an Islamic State prison, freeing 70 hostages.
Sadly, one U.S. soldier lost his life in the operation, while several IS militants were captured or killed. The liberation of these prisoners is a sign that the ground battle against ISIS can be won, and represents a humiliating defeat of the Islamic State in territory they believed they controlled.
