The Man Behind the Madness

The cult of Transgenderism has swept across the world in the last decade or so. What ten years ago was a hardly known subject has burst into the mainstream like a whirlwind. The controversial Tavistock clinic in London is the biggest provider of transgender services in the UK. In 2009/10 there were only 32 girls and 40 boys referred to Tavistock GIDS, by  2018/19 in England alone that figure had risen to 624 boys and 1,740 girls.

In less than a decade, there has been a 1,460% increase in referrals of boys and a staggering 5,337% increase in girls.  We are seeing children as young as three being referred to the clinic; how a three-year-old can feel that it is in the wrong body is anyone’s guess. But it appears for some parents and doctors that they can and that it needs to be addressed.

It is almost as if a wave of madness has swept over the world, a wave keeps on growing year on year. Though like most waves it leaves damage in its wake and not just to young bodies that are encouraged to take potentially harmful puberty blockers at an early age, even the NHS has finally had to reverse its claims that these blockers are not potentially harmful and are reversible. But that many youngsters are being convinced by transactivists and medical professionals that transitioning is the right thing to do, even though several studies have estimated that 60 to 90 per cent of children who identify as transgender no longer want to transition by the time they’re adults, often becoming gay or lesbian. We see the results of this wave of trans madness every day on our tv screens, on the internet and in the media, but how many people have actually heard of the man who, some claim, is responsible for unleashing this on the world.

“Father of Gender theory”

Dr John Money was a New Zealand born Psychologist and “sexologist”, he is recognised as the Father of Gender theory, being responsible for the terms gender role, gender identity and sexual orientation. He is a man respected by many within the medical and academic community authoring more than 2000 pieces of written work and receiving over 65 honours, awards and degrees within his lifetime. He left New Zealand at the age of 26 after gaining a degree in double master’s degree in psychology and education at Victoria University of Wellington and briefly teaching at Otago University in Dunedin.

Arriving in the United States he went onto study at the Psychiatric Institute of the University of Pittsburgh. He left Pittsburgh and earned his PhD from Harvard University. Money then went onto become a professor of paediatrics and medical psychology at Johns Hopkins University, the Hospital attached to the University became the first to carry out “gender reassignment” surgery in the world. He died in 2006.

But behind all of Money’s honours and accolades is a very dark, bloody and disturbing story.

In 1966 a seven-month-old Canadian baby boy called Bruce Peter Reimer (later to be known as David Reimer) was referred for circumcision due to a perceived medical issue by a GP called Dr Jean-Marie Huot who performed the operation using the unconventional method of electrocauterization. The procedure went terribly wrong and the boy’s penis was burned beyond surgical repair.

Fearing that this would affect his later happiness and prospects of having any form of sexual life, his parents made what was to be a fateful decision in 1967 to take David to John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore to meet with Money. Money at the time was promoting the theory of gender neutrality—that gender identity developed primarily as a result of social learning from early childhood and that it could be changed with the appropriate behavioural interventions.

Money decided, to use David Reimer as a test subject for his theory as he had a twin brother to use as a comparison, that it would be best to reassign David to becoming a girl using surgery. Eventually, Reimer and the doctors who supported him at the Hospital convinced David’s parents that it was in his best interests, a decision that was to lead to terrible consequences.

Coercive role play

At the age of 22 months, David (later to be renamed Brenda, a name close to his birth name of Brian) underwent surgery to create a vagina where his ruined genitals had been. Money continued to oversee David and his twin, using them as an experiment to test his twisted theories and “treatments”.  Money theorized that reproductive behaviour formed the foundation of gender, and that “play at thrusting movements and copulation” was a key aspect of gender development in all primates. Starting at age six, according to Brian, David’s twin, the twins were forced to perform sexual acts, with David playing the female role—Money made Reimer get down on all fours, and Brian was forced to “come up behind him and place his crotch against [his] buttocks”. Money also forced Reimer, in another sexual position, to have his “legs spread” with Brian on top. On “at least one occasion” Money took a photograph of the two children doing these activities. It was reported that when either child resisted these activities Money would get angry. Both Reimer and Brian recall that Money was mild mannered around their parents, but ill-tempered when alone with them. When they resisted inspecting each other’s genitals, Money got very aggressive. Reimer says, “He told me to take my clothes off, and I just did not do it. I just stood there. And he screamed, ‘Now!’ Louder than that. I thought he was going to give me a whupping. So I took my clothes off and stood there shaking.”

Money’s rationale for these various treatments was his belief that “childhood ‘sexual rehearsal play'” was important for a “healthy adult gender identity”. As you can imagine both twins were later to tell people that they were severely traumatised by this so-called therapy. Though Money carried on with this “treatment” making David take hormone therapy as he got older and this led to him developing breasts. David continued to live as Brenda, unaware of his birth gender, but the trauma of Money’s therapy sessions had taken its toll and by the age of 13 he was severely depressed and told his parents that if he was forced to see Money again that he would take his own life.

His parents took him to see a psychiatrist who advised his parents to tell David the truth about his birth gender and what had happened to him. On hearing this David decided he wanted to return to his original birth gender, a gender he had started to feel between the ages of 9 and 11 was his true gender and not the one forced upon him, and underwent several procedures to leave Brenda behind and become David at the age of 15.

David Reimer: Victim of Money’s twisted research.

Tragedy

David tried to lead a normal life, marrying and adopting three children with his wife. But the surgery, the trauma from Money’s “therapy”, the problematic relationship he had with his parents and the death of his twin who had developed schizophrenia and died of an overdose all took their toll on him and at 38 he killed himself. A tragic end to a sad and traumatic life caused by the twisted theories of a man who was to become the highly regarded Father of transgender ideology. What Money did to the two children was nothing more than abuse wrapped up in the claim of “research”.

Though much of his theories on the social learning of gender have now been discredited and dropped his wider Gender theory ideology has become fashionable across much of the western world. Every year we are seeing increasing numbers of children harmed by the madness that Money unleashed on the world and there seems to be no end in sight to the spread of this ideology. Will we see terrible consequences for many of the children who have been taken in by this and encouraged to reassign their gender at an early age by transactivists and clinics such as the Tavistock clinic? Time will tell but David Reimer’s case should be a warning to us all.
