Commentator Isa Guha has apologised for referring to India bowler Jasprit Bumrah as the “most valuable primate” during the Gabba Test.
Guha made the remark while commentating for Fox Sports on day two, praising Bumrah alongside former Australian Test players Brett Lee and Allan Border.
“He’s the MVP isn’t he? Most valuable primate, Jasprit Bumrah,” she said, after which one of her commentators was heard exclaiming “oh”.
I just don’t care.
“He’s the one who’s going to do all the talking for India and why so much focus was on him in the build-up to this Test match.”
The comment from the former England international raised eyebrows, particularly considering the history between Australia and India in cricket, including racial slurs of “monkey” directed at Andrew Symonds in 2007 and 2008.

In 2008 at the SCG the Indians called Symonds a monkey, then insisted that only White people can be racist so it doesn’t count. This begs the question; how can Guha be racist? Is it because she speaks with a pommy accent?
Again, nobody cares. Feel free to skim read this non-apology, I reckon she just bashed it together using ai:
“I used a word that can be interpreted a number of different ways. Firstly, I’d like to apologise for any offence caused,” she said.
“I set myself really high standards when it comes to empathy and respect of others. I only meant the highest praise for one of India’s greatest players and someone that I admire greatly.
“I’m an advocate for equality and someone who has spent their career thinking about inclusion and understanding in the game.
“I’m trying to frame the enormity of his achievements and I’ve chosen the wrong word. And for that I am deeply sorry.”
Just like the inane “welcome to country”, these non-apologies for non-offences get longer and longer for no reason. It is a humiliation ritual for the non-offender and a humiliation ritual for the Aussie public who must endure it and pretend it matters.
It is all the more humiliating that this not news story doesn’t involve any Aussies. It is a harbinger of the future, should globohomo succeed in eradicating White Australians. Foreign conquerors will continue so-called “welcome to countries” and apologise for imagined slights as a form of magic ritual to ward off the spirits of White Australia.
This phenomenon of foreigners larping as Australians has reached farcical levels, with the One Nation Party fielding a range of foreigners who can barely speak English and who insist that One Nation is now all about diversity.

The whole point of One Nation was that it was supposed to be exclusive, not inclusive. In warning in 1996 that Australia was in danger of being swamped by Asians, Pauline Hanson made a distinction between Anglos and foreigners. This distinction no longer exists for One Nation in the current year. It represents anybody and everybody as long as they respect “Australian values” and as long as nobody thinks too hard about where Australian values actually come from, ie Australians.
Thus One Nation no longer serves any purpose. If we are to prevent Australia from becoming a sterile economic zone where random brown people conduct magic humiliation rituals to prevent White racism from ever returning, we must destroy both the Liberal Party and One Nation.
