The XYZ Quote of the Day for Tuesday October 27, 2015, goes to a great scientist and thinker who has summarised well what we have touched on over the last few days. Love him or loathe him, Richard Dawkins has long been an evenhanded advocate for freedom from religious oppression, wherever it may exist, and he has well and truly joined the ranks of the cultural libertarians with his criticism of the babies in our universities:
“A university is not a “safe space”. If you need a safe space, leave, go home, hug your teddy & suck your thumb until ready for university.”
The quote is from a few days ago, but it is, as one might say, timeless.
