The French revolution is often held up as the beginning of the Modern Age and our turning away from God. The real beginning, however, was the American revolution as the American colonies overthrew their rightful king and instead placed their fate in the hands of a constitution written by Freemasons. (And the seeds for that beginning were the actions of the heretic Martin Luther). But the French revolution is more useful in terms of understanding our present condition as it was the revolutionary French who set the stage for what was to follow.
The description of the political spectrum as left versus right originated in the French revolution.
The terms “left” and “right” appeared during the French Revolution of 1789 when members of the National Assembly divided into supporters of the king to the president’s right and supporters of the revolution to his left. One deputy, the Baron de Gauville, explained: “We began to recognize each other: those who were loyal to religion and the king took up positions to the right of the chair so as to avoid the shouts, oaths, and indecencies that enjoyed free rein in the opposing camp”.
Even back then the left were employing their usual tricks. By willingly adopting the terms right and left, those who were loyal to religion and the king played into the left’s hands. Just over 200 years later we still use the same terminology but we have forgotten its origins. This is as it was intended.
Not only that, but the political term called the right has been further corrupted by a false association with fascism. If you understand that the right originated from supporters of religion and the king then you will immediately understand that any connection to fascism is ludicrous. Dictatorship in its various forms is a product of the left for the simple reason that it is not based on religion or the king. But we do not understand that distinction because we willingly utilise the terminology of the left which they alone have the power to define. It is their terminology after all. Thus we are snared in a Kafka trap of words and definitions which are constantly changed to suit our enemy. And we are complicit in this mess because we participate in it of our own accord.
If we are truly to escape from the awful snares of the revolutionary left then the first thing that we must do is to begin to fight them on our own terms. This is a battle not of left versus right, nor of capitalism versus socialism, nor of various ideologies against themselves. Rather it is a battle of Christianity versus the fallen. Our side is Christ and our side is Christianity in its original form. It is left versus Christianity.
That distinction is the critical first step to winning this battle as it places the battle both in the physical world and in the spiritual one. We simultaneously look below while we are also looking above. We fight the fight in the world but without becoming worldly. We first become concerned with our own spiritual salvation before we attempt to come to terms with our foe. And when we do turn our gaze that way then we are infinitely stronger than them.
Just imagine if the battle over legalising gay marriage had been one of left versus Christianity as opposed to nebulous political terms on both sides. I have no doubt that the outcome would have been far different. The left constantly advances its agenda into the camp of the political right for the simple reason that both left and right are the same entity. They are merely different way points along the spectrum of secular damnation. So what is unacceptable to those on the right today will be perfectly allowable tomorrow. Both sides are only concerned with this world, and thus both sides fall into the trap of being locked in a system where anything goes.
We rise above this worldly hold by first redefining who we are. We are not of the political right, nor of the nationalist right, nor of the alt-right, nor of the far right, nor of the Christian-right. We are Christians. And the basis for our beliefs and what we will allow are firmly lodged in our religion. Sin cannot be tolerated, let alone legalised in such a context. And with such a clarification then the true nature of our foes becomes clear. And I will wager that you will hear no more cries from our side of “stooping to their level” when we step up to fight. For the level that separates us from the ungodly cannot be any more different.
