4D Chess: Trump to pull troops from Syria & Afghanistan, threatens government shutdown to fund wall

World War 3 was feared by many on the nationalist right when Trump twice bombed Syria in response to two false flag gas attacks. Both bombing runs had nothing to do with Syria and everything to do with Korea. Now that the God Emperor has displayed his willingness to back his words with force, he is pulling the troops back from both Syria and Afghanistan.

From the Australian:

A day after a contested decision to pull American military forces from Syria, Donald Trump has reportedly ordered the start of a reduction of American forces in Afghanistan.

More than 7000 American troops will begin to return home from Afghanistan in the coming weeks, a US official said yesterday.

The move will come as the first stage of a phased drawdown and the start of an end to the 17-year war that officials say could take many months at the earliest. There now are more than 14,000 US troops in Afghanistan.

The US President announced on Wednesday that he would pull all of the more than 2000 American troops from Syria.

Taken together, the Syria withdrawal and the likely Afghan drawdown represent a dramatic shift in the US approach to military engagement in hot spots around the world, reflecting Mr Trump’s aversion to long-running military entanglements with their high costs and American casualties.

4D Chess is real.

The still occasionally brilliant Greg Sheridan has some good analysis:

Two thousand troops, even crack US troops, cannot have a strategic effect in a densely militarised, vast international combat zone such as Syria. They are essentially a symbolic force.

Their only effective military role is to act as a trip-wire for US engagement. If some power attacked the US troops directly it would likely trigger serious US retaliation. That is exactly the sort of half-pregnant, mini-military micro-commitment that characterises a power that doesn’t want to be there but can’t quite get out.

Exactly. The fear was that even though we had prevented the devil Clinton from ascending to the White House to start World War 3, the globalists could still find a way to get their war. Trump knows this and is removing the trip-wire.

Take heed of this factor:

It’s unclear how the US would be able to fulfil the full set of missions now under way, including training Afghan forces, advising them in the field, and waging an air campaign against the Taliban and other militant groups.

Instead, the US almost certainly would have to cut its missions, something that could provide an opportunity for a resurgent Taliban to expand their offensives across the country.

We should not be under any illusion that a US withdrawal from Middle East conflicts will make the Middle East a more stable or secure place. This is the Middle East we are talking about. Aside from when it was ruled by the Romans and the Crusaders, the Middle East always has and always will be a shithole. My analysis in years gone by, that Barack Obama created a security vacuum in Iraq when he pulled US troops out of Iraq which allowed ISIS to flourish, was correct. It no longer matters. When the US pulls out, and if we Australians follow, expect images of crying and dying children to saturate your TV screens. The globalists still want a war, they want a war, even if we and our God Emperor do not.

When the Middle East sinks further into a hole, remember this:

The people of Europe are in danger of losing their nations, both in our European homeland and the colonies which we have made our own. It serves no purpose whatsoever to be wasting our best men in the Middle East when we are in danger of losing our our own nations.

Forget any notion of fighting the terrorists over there so we don’t have to fight them here. The terrorists are already here.  Islamic terrorism does not matter if it happens outside the West.  The only reason we have Islamic terrorism here in the West is because we have Islam in the West.

Forget any notion of reforming Islam or spreading the cancerous ideology of democracy. If we lose our identity as a European people, we have literally nothing to fight for.

Donald Trump understands this. This is why he is prepared to play hardball to get his wall.

From Reuters:

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday threatened a “very long” government shutdown just hours ahead of a midnight deadline, calling on the Senate to pass spending legislation that includes his $5 billion demand for border wall funding and seeking to shift blame for a holiday showdown to Democrats.

The Republican-led Senate had already approved funds for the government through Feb. 8 without money for the wall. But Trump pushed Republican allies in the House of Representatives on Thursday to use the short-term funding bill as leverage to force through the border wall money despite Democratic objections.

In a series of ten early-morning tweets on Friday, the president urged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to take up the amended bill from the House. Trump, who last week said he would be “proud” to preside over a shutdown, sought to blame Senate Democrats, whose support is needed to reach the 60 votes needed for passage.

It’s the art of the deal.

Bringing our troops home from foreign conflicts and defending our borders at a time when our identity as who we are as a people is under existential threat is what all leaders of Western nations should be doing.

Over to you, ScoMo.
