The regressive left, pushed by a clear cultural Marxist agenda, have gender neutrality in their view. It seems that no matter where we look, gender neutrality is beginning to have an impact throughout mainstream life. All across schools in Australia, under the guise of the Safe Schools program, teachers are pushing the concept of ‘Gender Fluidity’, which is the belief that one’s gender may vary overtime, and that the concept of Gender is an ever-changing emotion where we are free to identify with whatever gender type we want to on any given day.
In the United States, the popular department store Target released a store-wide policy where customers and staff were encouraged to use the restroom and fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity. In a statement released by Target, titled “Continuing to Stand for Inclusivity”, the store wrote, “Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. And you’ll be accepted, respected and welcomed at Target”.
But despite Target claiming that they want all their customers to feel like they are accepted, respected and welcomed in their stores, they clearly are rejecting the concerns of millions of everyday Americans. An online petition created by the ‘American Family Association (AFA)’ asking for the boycott of Target has attracted over 1.4 million signatures. The concern with Target’s decision as raised by the AFA is that a “man can simply say he feels like a women today and enter the women’s restroom… even if young girls or women are in there. Target’s policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims.” These concerns are very real concerns that all parents have a right to express, and to be heard. But despite the concerns Target has refused to back down, with their CEO, Brian Cornell, confirming they would not alter their stance during an appearance on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box.’ “We took a stance; we’re going to continue to embrace our belief in diversity and inclusion.”
The decision by Target has seen additional American companies come out in support of their stance and implement their own gender-inclusive restroom policies. These companies include Starbucks, Barnes & Noble and Saks. It seems that whatever the regressive left decide is the latest social action they must take, it’s only a matter of time before the media and big corporations jump in to support their latest call for tolerance, equality and diversity. That is why it comes as no surprise that Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz jumped on the gender-neutral-restroom bandwagon. Schultz has previously used his status and company to campaign for same-sex marriage, race relations and getting himself involved in the U.S. firearm debate.
Now if the concept of gender fluidity being taught in classrooms and gender neutral toilets being rolled out across the world was not enough, we are once again seeing the push for parents to refrain from buying gender-specific gifts for their children. An article published by the Herald Sun discussed the latest extreme-left attack on gender identity. Australian parents are now being encouraged to buy gender-neutral toys or even buy traditional girl’s or boy’s toys and give it to the opposite sex. The ‘No Gender December’ campaign launched in December 2014 by activist group Play Unlimited encourages parents to buy a Barbie for your boy to break gender stereotypes.
Play Unlimited was founded by mother Thea Hughes, who says she was inspired to create the group after her experience of working in the male-dominated petrochemical industry along with her experience of raising two girls. Hughes claims that by reinforcing old-fashioned stereotypes, the consequence is aggression in boys and results in girls being victims of domestic violence and suffering from pay inequality. Hughes claims that the UN Convention on Human Rights supports her campaign under article thirty-one, which enshrines the child’s right to engage in play, whilst article thirty-two demands that the conventions be applied without any discrimination of any kind, irrespective of the child’s sex. Back in 2014, the then Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott weighed in on the debate, “Let boys be boys, let girls be girls – that’s always been my philosophy”
It is quite concerning that Play Unlimited is pushing a concept that if a boy plays with boy toys they will inevitably grow up to be violent and domestic abusers. It is nothing but disgraceful Marxism propaganda, aimed to pull the heartstrings of any parent who would do anything to stop their child going down that path. The ground-breaking research that allowed them to come to such a conclusion is a document released by the World Health Organisation (WHO) entitled, “Violence Prevention, the Evidence: Promoting Gender Equality to Prevent Violence Against Women.”
There is absolutely nothing in the WHO document that the Play Unlimited crew so proudly refer to on their website that even remotely supports their conclusion, that by allowing a boy to play with traditional boy toys will result in him growing up to be a criminal domestic abuser. But as always the left have a way of loosely applying their Marxist views on any information available to make it fit their agenda; on this occasion the destruction of gender identity.
The new attack on gender identity, and more specifically masculinity, has now made its way into Victorian schools with the new Respectful Relationships program. This program will introduce children to the concept of “Male Privilege” and how “hegemonic masculinity” encourages the control and dominance of men over women.
There is a clear attack on gender identity at the moment taking place across the world. One aspect of this prolonged attack is a clear and present danger to the stereotypically strong masculine male character. Linking domestic violence to normal genetic male traits is downright disgraceful and an attack on one’s natural identity.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with men and women embracing their natural genetic traits. Doing so does not make a man more likely to be violent, nor does it make a woman more likely to fail in her career. But of course, that will not stop the left filling your head with fake propaganda to push an agenda that has absolutely nothing to do with solving real problems in society; instead it’s more to do with destroying cultural values to assist in a growing push to implement true Marxist socialism.
As we head towards another Christmas and with media attention focused on gender neutrality, I await the day that Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announces a free toy for all children with their Babycino:
