Snopes not convinced Donald Trump is President

Editor’s note: On November 10, in the wake of Donald Trump’s resounding win in the US Presidential Election, I wrote and published the following, quite stupid satire, poking fun at the way snopes.com is a symptom of the way the left live in a parallel factual universe to the rest of us.  I enjoyed the irony of writing a deliberately fake news story about a website which passes itself off as a fact-checking site, when all it is is a propaganda front for the left to snidely convince itself that it is right about everything.  Little was I to know that merely days later, the left would start referring to independent media opposed to its authoritarian agenda as “fake news” printing “post truth.”

So I invite you, esteemed readers of The XYZ, to enjoy yet another episode of XYZ Predicts The Future:

e832b3092bf2033ecd0b470de7444e90fe76e6d211b6154291f3c1_640_FalseThe far-left, so-called “fact check” website snopes.com has today released a barrage against reality, disputing the results of the US Presidential Election on November 8, which saw Republican nominee Donald J. Trump elected President of the United States. The article, which was accompanied by the standard needle pointing to the bright red “fake” zone, stated:

A number of far-right and fake news sites have been reporting that Donald Trump was elected President of the United States yesterday.  These false reports have been subsequently been picked up by racist internet trolls, and adopted as true by many people who don’t watch CNN.

The article went on to argue that according to mainstream media reports leading up to the election, there is no way that such an event could have taken place, and quoted several Democrat talking points, before leaving it at that.

For those of you interested in enjoying the hilarity, we have provided a link here.

It’s your XYZ.
