Sacked SBS journalist Scott McIntyre is at it again.
His contempt for Australia and western culture and the western tradition seems to spew forth uncontrollably each ANZAC Day.
McIntyre today tweeted:
“Heroism on command, senseless violence, all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism.”
While McIntyre is so stridently critical of the violence committed in the name of nationalism, where is his concern for the violence committed in the name of say, anti-nationalist socialism which killed over 100 million people in the 20th Century alone, more than any other ideology?
You see Scott, the ANZACS and Aussie Diggers have fought to defend and protect people from the slaughter and tyranny of things like socialism, Nazism and Islamism. Your concern for “senseless violence” rings hollow with your lack of perspective. Your bile simply betrays a deeply ingrained hatred West and a man overwhelmed with pious self-loathing.
