The rampant hippies at PETA have turned their sights onto the made up, incredibly grim and violent future of Nottingham-based company Games Workshop.
Games Workshop is the biggest gaming model company in the world with a huge fictional background in their futuristic universe of Warhammer 40,000. In this universe there are many factions of humans and aliens and some of these wear animal pelts.
These add incredible detail for a hobbyist to utilise. Take a look at some of the models here.
PETA, however, have taken umbrage to the past 30+ years of models bearing the image of fur, and have released this statement saying that in the future furs are unnecessary and barbaric… If those involved with the statement knew anything about the FICTIONAL universe of Warhammer 40,000, furs are the least of humanity’s concern.
PETA have requested that Games Workshop remodel and remove models with fur.
So dear PETA members: Go and do something useful with your unwashed existence and imitate a dodo.
