Food for thought – The Islamo-Internationale

Routinely when I’m visiting the city I bump into these socialist organizers, who more often enough are wearing the black and white keffiyeh (scarf) symbolising solidarity with the Palestinian political ideology. Most people I know wouldn’t pay these folk much mind, nor understand what underpins the worldview that they preach.

Recently I was re-watching the exchange that transpired between David Horowitz and a Muslim student (wearing the keffiyeh) at the University of California, San Diego back on May 19th, 2010.

In the video Horowitz asks this student, who identifies as a member of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), “Will you condemn Hamas here and now?” (which the Muslim student aggressively avoids answering).

Horowitz then presents the Muslim student with the fundamental position that is central to the ideology which she has aligned herself with:

“Okay I’ll put it to you this way. I’m a Jew. The head of Hezbollah has said that he hopes that we will gather in Israel, so he doesn’t have to hunt us down globally. For or against it?”

Calmly the Muslim student responds by saying “For it!”

Frankly when these inner city socialists hand me a flyer stating “NO TO RACISM, NO TO FASCISM” (seeking to prevent people from protesting Islam) I take the time to look them in the face and rip it up.
