The Melbourne Underground Film Festival is one of the few artistic events in Melbourne which is not pozzed by the utter degeneracy of the Marxist left.
The MUFF starts today, Friday October 15 at 7:00 pm AEDT. Due to the ridiculous lockdown in Melbourne the festival is being held online and is free, which actually means more people can see it and it can go global.
You can watch MUFF at its YouTube channel here. They have set up a livestream which will show each film as it is screened.
I had a scan through the previews, and a few movies stood out to me. The title of Serbs in Space caught my attention because every Serb I have ever know has been a funny bugger, but dodgy af. The preview backs up my own experience. It looks like a fun spoof of the film making process.
That soundtrack is an arrangement of one of my favourite pieces by Robert Schumann, Traumeri.

The Start Gate actually looks to be a film about sport. I don’t know if this is an Aussie film, but I have been saying for years that if Australian film makers want to get off the teat of government funding, all they have to do is make films about sport which don’t try to deconstruct anything. Aussies love sport and would love to relive some of the amazing stories of their sporting heroes, framed by film makers who genuinely love sport.
It is run by Richard Woolstencroft, whom I have had the pleasure of chatting with several times on the Uncuckables. Richard is so based that he recently made it on a list of people who must never be discussed on Facebook.

To reiterate the point, this festival is truly underground. As Richard does not try to signal to the left, he receives no support from the arts establishment and is actively silenced on social media. Usually I would not want to have anything to do with anything artistic in Melbourne, but this is something which people can approach with a genuinely open mind.
