How not to vote

With the Federal election 2 days away, the floodgates have opened with leftie social media going rampant like a virus.

8450393903_b84edcf8eb_Voting-boothI’ve seen many how-to-vote “info” blogs in my newsfeed regarding people’s views of all the parties, and they’re horrendously biased. Not that there is any real surprise in that. Their comments are aggressive and slanderous toward any party that has some slight hint of national pride, and they sing the praises of the Greens and Socialist Alliance. One article even went far enough to say that Nick Xenophon was too right wing for them!

This coming election, as with all elections, follow the party (minor or major) that you have done a bit of research on, and that you believe follows your values as best as possible. Nothing is perfect, except for maybe Freddie Mercury, but I digress.

On Election Day (or pre-polling) there are two things that really annoy me:

1. The volunteers thrusting papers into your face to vote for their party. (I’m mobbed by about half a dozen Greens from the car park to the booth every election) If you’re one of those people, be less aggressive, and I won’t be an arrogant prat back to you.

2. Those people who take all of the voting papers from everybody. You should know whom you are voting for already. If on the day, you decide who gets your important vote by how pretty the how to be vote card looks, then your vote should be invalid because clearly you have no interest or care for the governance of the country.

Why do Australians have this dogma of being secretive about who they vote for? For years (up until this election) I sourced the Liberal vote card and would flatly refuse anyone else. I walked tall and unashamed into the polls with my one card.

Have care in your vote and have pride in where you want the nation to go!
