In a referendum held yesterday in New Zealand on whether or not to change the national flag, the majority of New Zealand citizens chose to acknowledge their modern history under the monarchy, and the Union Jack thousands fought and died for, instead of throwing it away, eroding their history, and dismantling Western democratic rule.
Sadly it was a huge waste of money for a useless cause, just like when Australia had it’s big change-the-flag-moment-of-self-identity crisis, ie the 1999 Refendum on the Republic.
Hopefully now, instead of being hounded by an irrelevant political issue that benefits no one except the self-loathing, (who don’t contribute to the betterment of society, and believe the world owes them everything while also hating the fact that they are white with Anglo heritage, ie, the political, academic and media elite,) people and government can focus on proper issues in the country. Issues that impact on quality of life and not something that spits on national pride and history.
