The laws of God in the Old Testament are the most based set of rules in existence. For those who believe in natural law, they are natural law to the max.
They are the foundation of civilisation. They predate Greece and Rome by 1000 to 1500 years and became a template for justice for both civilisations before becoming the foundation of our own.
But the people God entrusted the Law to, failed to uphold it and to live up to it. By the time of the founding of Christianity, the Apostle Paul says:
“For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous (indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) Romans 2:13-15
In short the people of God had God’s rules in written form, but many people who were not followers of God had the laws written on their hearts, because, ultimately, these laws are natural laws that are self evident to anyone who pays attention to the world around them.
This is why I consider most non Christians in the former NSN more “Christian” than most people who identify as such. Christians have the Law, but most corrupt it, just like the Jews did 2000-2500 years ago. Their churches have constructed dogmas that twist the words of the Bible and are proven false to even those who have never read it, simply because their dogmas contradict natural law and everyday reality.
So let’s set the record straight and tell the full truth about justice. What is actually shown in scripture and what every honourable man knows in his heart and conscience to be true.
“Vengeance is mine (sayeth the Lord). I will repay.” Romans 12:19
This is the foundation of civilisation. You give up your personal desire to get even with those that have wronged you or committed egregious acts and you trust that justice will be done.
An eye for an eye.
The other foundation of civilisation, using the example of the current news cycle: You personally cannot lynch a psychotic witch for killing her children, but she must be sentenced to death by the appointed officials.
A jury is supposed to be there to decide on the truth. The law is there to deliver justice an eye for an eye, a life for a life. So regardless if a million women empathise with a child killer and her state of mind, life must be repaid by life. Moses is instructed to set up institutions to deliver justice. The people give up their desire to take it for themselves, and God appoints officials to do it for them, defining what does and doesn’t constitute it. This model, whether inspired by the Israelites or developed independently, has been the basis for every successful Western civilization in history.
Jesus never said that courts should forgive. He said that you should. There is no contradiction between the Old Testament and the New. Christ simply repeats the words of the prophets that preceded Him which are all consistent with natural law. My observation of Nationalist pagans has been a code of honour and personal behaviour. In other words, putting natural law into their hearts. Though many could do with some work on forgiveness, most of that would be bettered if they lived in a society that still administered justice.
Justice through the institutions must go hand in hand with the commandment to give up personal vengeance to God. In fact without justice first being established all calls for personal forgiveness are doomed to fail. It is no coincidence that Moses predates Christ by 1500 years.
If we take the law into our own hands then civilisation descends into anarchy and inter-generational blood feuds. If the justice system fails to deliver justice, then civilisation collapses because people feel they have no choice but to take the law into their own hands.
This is the fundamental reason why terrorism is a great strategy for those who hate our civilisation and a terrible strategy for Patriots who want to save it. Terrorism isn’t an eye for an eye; it is indiscriminate vigilante killing of often innocent people that escalates violence and creates blood feuds. If you want to destroy civilisation then its the perfect vehicle, if you want to establish it or save it, then you may as well join your enemies if terrorism is your strategy.
Because absence of justice leads to civilisational collapse, judges, above all others, MUST be held to account. There is no greater treason to a nation than the treason of those who are tasked with being the hand of God’s vengeance deliberately defying their duty. Equally bad are judges that carry out the vengeance of men rather than that of God. The Bible lays out what are crimes and what aren’t. The personal dislikes of kings and government ministers don’t pass the test. Neither the Biblical definition nor in the consciences of men who have natural law written in their hearts.
Administering impartial justice is a sacred task and those who abuse that responsibility are to be reviled more than any other. A judge who sets free a child raping pedophile is worse than the pedophile himself. If he then jails an innocent man for political reasons he surely is the lowest of the low.
Those who trust that there was a valid reason for the death penalty for such things as sodomy and adultery in the Old Testament and those who simply know in their hearts that it shouldn’t be permitted both tap into deeper truths about civilisation and what is required to create and uphold it. The ancient Israelites were a tribe facing immediate extinction in the desert. Our modern civilisation is facing a slower but no less real threat through low birth rates exacerbated by hook up culture, porn, single parents, and rising homosexuality. Individuals enjoying all the benefits of civilisation whilst believing they have no responsibility to help preserve it. Without civilisation their behaviors are regulated by nature itself. Women are possessions of dominant, high testosterone men. Children are born but populations remain low. Civilisation is boom bust. If laws are in accordance with nature, populations flourish. When laws promote unnatural behaviour, populations can be wiped out.
If every woman on the planet stopped having children the entire human race would be doomed for extinction within 50 years. What is worse, personally taking another human life or engaging in behaviour that risks the continuation of life? Without civilisation, nature will regulate us, with civilisation nature will destroy us if we defy it.
So laws are not just there to outsource justice to institutions. They are there to create and sustain civilisation itself. They must be in accordance with nature and the Old Testament provides a check list to help our consciences to identify what this is more easily. It is a tool to help clarify what your conscience is already trying to show you.
Many Christians completely ignore what the Bible says on race. Or they believe Jesus abolished the need for separate nations with a universal church. They cite Paul in Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Gentile”. They then ignore the next couple of lines “neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female” and pay attention again for the end “for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Neither Paul nor Christ abolish the existence of the sexes, nor do they abolish masters and servants. Both would defy nature and reality. Paul spends entire chapters in his writings outlining the separate duties of husband to wife, wife to husband, slave to master, master to slave. The reason he doesn’t go into detail about the separation of nations is that 2,000 years ago this was the one basic adherence to natural law that everybody and his ox had down pat. Peter is in fact told that God does permit him to sit down for a meal with people from other nations if they are godly.
So if an Indian uses a knife and fork and a toilet with toilet paper, it’s OK to sit down with him in a restaurant, as long as here’s here on a tourist visa, not a student visa being fast tracked for citizenship. Whether or not you would want to, is a separate issue.
The entire Old Testament book of Ezra warns of the existential threat of race mixing to the survival of a nation. Deuteronomy 23:8 provides the regulations for laws in relation to it rather than outright forbidding it. There are likely two reasons for this. First is that new nations are created by interracial sex. There is nothing wrong with human diversity on our planet, but new nations are exactly that, new. An African who has a child with an Asian doesn’t give birth to either, but to something new. The second reason is that, unlike sodomy, sex between races is still life affirming. But taken to extremes it is also civilisational destroying. If every White woman only had children to nonwhite men, then White people would go extinct. The same goes for every other nation on earth. One takes for granted that nature or God wants diversity of life, not just one form of it. Likewise, whether you’ve read the Bible or not, the idea of humanity as just a homogeneous brown soup of entropy should be repulsive to you. Again, without civilisation nature keeps such practices in check. Only a small minority of humans are attracted to other races. With civilisation rules and laws can influence our behaviour one way or the other. You can have European royalty becoming more and more deformed over generations or you can have a world full of mongrels.
So Deuteronomy 23:8 regulates the practice of race mixing and applies negative consequences to its practice. That consequence is loss of citizenship for the offspring. For race mixing with people similar to you it’s 3 generations and the children and grandchildren must procreate back into the tribe to have descendants be granted citizenship again. Think of how the Greeks and Italians assimilated into the British race in Australia after WW2. Two generations of some tension, now they are mostly just considered White and one of us. We didn’t apply Biblical Law to them, but because Biblical Law is consistent with natural law, three generations is what it took for Italian and Greek immigrants to stop being separate people to the British founding stock.
Race mixing with wildly different people in the Bible causes the loss of citizenship to be permanent (“even unto the tenth generation”), because the progeny of such unions will never fit in again. Think Lydia Thorpe!
The current decline of Western civilisation correlates to the steady erosion of the law. It began slowly in the 19th century with officials believing that they ought to apply Christ’s instructions for individuals to their duties as hands of God’s vengeance. Current Christian dogmas lie to their congregation when they claim that the law is abolished with the coming of Christ. In Christ’s own words:
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” Matthew 5:17-18.
What is to be accomplished? That the law is installed in people’s hearts. If your soul loves and upholds the laws of nature and of our design and creation, then you don’t need a statute book to keep you righteous. God had delivered you a justice system but He wanted us to fulfil our side of the Covenant. This was the original purpose of Christianity. It was never supposed to be an excuse for judges to not deliver justice to the unrighteous. But this is what our law has deteriorated into. Virtue signalling judges abrogating all responsibility of their office, upheld by Church dogmas that have nothing to do with Christianty and that violate natural law. God’s laws.
Whether people read the Old Testament or whether they naturally find the law in their hearts, we need to restore the law and its purpose to our civilisation or our civilisation will cease to be.
