For months, Liberal powerbrokers and astroturfed influencers tried to make a bAsEd Andrew Hastie leadership of the Liberal Party a thing. Now he doesn’t even have the numbers to topple the Liberal Party’s worst leader in history.
In voting for the so-called “hate speech” bill last week, he destroyed his purported reputation as a representative of Anglo Australians.
From their ABC:
Andrew Hastie will not challenge Sussan Ley for the leadership of the Liberal Party next week, paving the way for a challenge from Angus Taylor.
The West Australian backbencher and former soldier ruled himself out of contention on Friday, citing a lack of support.
“Having consulted colleagues over the past week and respecting their honest feedback to me, it is clear that I do not have the support needed to become leader of the Liberal Party,” he said in a statement.
Mr Hastie attended a gathering of conservative Liberal men on Thursday, including Mr Taylor, in the hours before a memorial service for their former colleague Katie Allen.
A source said there was no agreement about who should runin that meeting. But sources from both the Hastie and Taylor camps said Mr Hastie’s withdrawal would now leave Mr Taylor clear to challenge at a time of his choosing, one saying it was a matter of “when, not if” this would happen….
Mr Hastie had been positioning for a run in recent weeks, and his wife told The Australian he had secured her blessing.
But he has also been contending with a revolt among the followers he has cultivated online, branding them as “keyboard warriors” after they criticised his decision to support Labor’s hate group laws.
“Australia faces massive issues. I have made it my single focus to campaign on critical issues including immigration and energy and I have no intention of stopping that,” he said in his statement.
That’s a bit rich, given last week he voted to make it more difficult for Anglos to publicly oppose mass replacement immigration. It is a continuation of the hypocrisy he has demonstrated ever since he voted for the so-called “hate speech” bill.
He initially boasted he would vote against it:
ICYMI: This person, Andrew Hastie, told you to your face he was voting NO, then in the chamber, voted YES.
He is no hero, he is a fraud. The Liberal party is DOA. pic.twitter.com/xU6ujtAgHx

He then had the audacity to claim that he stood up for Australians when he voted for it.
The right have now turned on Andrew Hastie. It doesn’t matter how angrily he says he “gutted the legislation like a fish” they won’t forgive you. Meanwhile through incompetence or fear Jacinta Napipjinta Price was locked out #auspolpic.twitter.com/mLKKONxKO7

When he was rightly labelled a sellout, he not only dismissed his critics as “emotionally incontinent” but he misdirected, claiming that Labor already had the numbers in the upper house, despite the fact that the Greens opposed the so-called “hate speech” bill. One Aussie quoted by The Noticer put it best:
“His statements are misleading. Labor do not have a majority in the Senate and the Greens were not going to do a deal. What he is saying is ‘Plenty of my Lib mates strongly backed the Bill and if I voted No, I would have lost any chance of the leadership’,” wrote one Australian.
Hastie sold out Australians in the hope of taking leadership of the Liberal Party, but instead torpedoed his leadership bid and his entire career. The whole point of trying to catapult Andrew Hastie into the Liberal Party leadership was to counter the inexorable rise of One Nation. Hastie was purported to be a strong, masculine figure who served his country in the armed forces and had the pulse of the Liberal Party’s conservative base.
The reality is, Anglo Australians couldn’t give a stuff about your military service if you sell out our political rights.
It’s a lesson I don’t think either leftist Liberals or cuckservative Liberals are going to learn. There is a tendency to dismiss White Australians who take our racial identity seriously as somehow fringe, and no attempt is made to engage directly with the topic of race. Many who consider themselves anti-woke will mindlessly mouth multicultural talking points. This wilful blindness and betrayal of White Australians is at the heart of why the Liberal Party is tanking.
This should serve as a stark warning for One Nation. The only reason it has risen to be the second most popular political party in Australia is because it is still perceived as standing up for the racial identity of White Australians.
If One Nation “moderates” its stance on immigration in an attempt to woo Liberal and National deserters and appeal to the fictional centre, it will fail just like the Liberal Party.
