There’s a bit of cope going round that the results of the US midterm elections were due to stealing on the Dems part as per normal, and that Trump and his cohorts let the steal go ahead as they were actively gathering the evidence to then perhaps, maybe, could be, he’s about to do it, really truly, cross the Rubicon this time, we promise. Perhaps that is the case, but it doesn’t change the fact that young white men who overwhelmingly supported Trump have been kicked in the teeth these last couple of years.
By all accounts the discrimination in the job market against white men is reaching levels where black slaves in the 1840s would have had a better chance of scoring a paying job than white men today. There was a chart I saw a little while ago that showed that 98% of new jobs over the last year had gone to women and foreigners. I don’t know if the chart was accurate or not, and it does seem a bit of an exaggeration, but white men don’t care if it’s true or not. What they do know is what they are up against every day in the job market, and even if they do have a job then they need to navigate the godawful battery of HR Karens waiting to do them in or just make their life an absolute misery of humiliation.
2024 Trump started off well with gutting USAID, deporting a million or so illegals and a few other moves. But the most inspiring thing he did for white men, and especially young white men, was DOGE. Those reports of young white guys in their early twenties systematically dismantling entrenched bureaucracy was heartwarming to every white guy in the nation with a pulse who hadn’t sold his soul to the DIE humiliation brigade.
And then the GOP got cold feet and shut it all down. And in the past two years they haven’t made a single worthwhile move. No piece of legislation that would have made a difference for white guys got passed. Nothing. And when you look at the course of DIE over the past ten years the majority of the craziness happened while Trump was president. 2024 was Trump’s chance to repay his base – white guys and married white women.
Either his base didn’t turn out to vote or they voted in a strategic sense to let the GOP know that they’ve had enough. The Indian upstart in Ohio didn’t even get a look in the door. The message has been sent but I very much doubt that the GOP will listen to it. Because elections don’t mean anything in a system that’s been set up to loot from the treasury while giving away the nation to hordes of foreigners who couldn’t understand how a real democratic system is supposed to work if their lives depended on it. What more and more white men are beginning to understand is that there is no voting our way out of this.
The choice for white men now is to either leave the country for some godawful eastern European backwater or an Asian shithole where he’ll constantly feel like a stranger in a strange land; retreat into despair and check out of the system that hates him; or take matters into his own hands with a final, fuck it – the whole thing is rigged against me if I play by their rules, so I may as well not play by their rules or any rules for that matter, so lets see if we can take back our country because at this point we have exactly zero to lose.
I know what I would choose.
