It all goes back to Adam and Eve. Eve was tempted into sin by the devil, but then Adam chose to join her in sin, and then hid from God like a coward while proceeding to throw Eve under the bus. A better display of failure to take responsibility and lead is hard to find, and certainly there does not exist anything that comes even close to the subsequent consequences.
Yes, as I wrote the other day, we have a woman problem. But as men, it’s our fault. And it is a very good thing that it is our fault. If it were not our fault then we would have no power to correct the mistake. Responsibility and power are both our strength and weakness. Which of the two is pertinent depends on whether or not we have been successful. As it stands, we are about as far from successful as it is possible to be. But sometimes you have to hit the very bottom to be able to begin the long climb back up.
Women are desperate for us to lead, but for over a hundred years we have failed them, and the failure has been cumulative; like a snowball rolling down a steep slope, it just gets bigger and bigger as failure piles upon previous failure. As a result our societies are now feminised. Democracy is a feminine form of government. Democracy always seeks to take the middle ground, which means there is a chronic lack of leadership, responsibility and leaders making the very hard but necessary decisions. All of those things are anathema to democracy.
Strong and powerful men who take responsibility for their actions; who successfully lead their families; who take a stand and a side notwithstanding the risk; who think critically; who are able to give and follow orders; who place God above all things; who do their best to see through the pretty lies of the world; who don’t fall to pieces when they get punched in the face; who understand that as men we have a great burden to bear, and who shoulder it without complaint; who stand as an example for other men; who are the companion that you want crouched next to you in a foxhole; who control their vices and attempt to grow their virtues; who call out hypocrisy and lies; who forgive but also understand that actions have consequences; who love their women and because of that love they protect, and educate, and guide their women through the perils of the world; who are dismayed by personal attacks; who are not swayed by attacks of the enemy; who understand that the single most important trait that they must instil in their children is an ardent love and fear of God that they will carry on themselves into adulthood; who know that in a world of lies, truth is the single greatest item of value, and Jesus Christ is the living embodiment of truth.
Our nations would be very different indeed if men had behaved in such a manner. But there is always the possibility of revival, and it is in our hands. Our women yearn for us to do this. They are begging for us to do this through their actions. And God wants us to do this. He can create the conditions, but we must act. We must do these things for God, for our women and our children, and for ourselves. You know what to do, you know it intrinsically in yourselves.
We must be strong, militant, Christian men, but men with a light heart and a twinkle in the eye. Who know how to laugh and to bond, and then get down to the grim work of dealing with our enemies. There are only three days until Lent begins [today]. Make your Lent this year a time of purification and prayer. A time to ready yourself for the battles ahead. This is an exciting time because after so many decades in a state of decaying inertia, things are beginning to happen. It’s time to pick a side, and stand for what you believe in.
