Turnbull is mistaken to overlook Abbott

If I have a “pin-up” politician it has to be Tony Abbott. The man embodies honesty, integrity, sincerity and a true lack of malice. These are probably the main reasons for the considerable and genuinely unwarranted animosity exhibited toward him by leftist journalists, politicians and self-appointed social commentators.

10128562676_744ec11bd4_Tony-Abbott-australiaAs my Grandfather often said, “Don’t judge others by your own standards”. Years down the track I actually understood these sage words. Just because you are honest, don’t expect that others are. Conversely, I would say to others, “just because you are dishonest, don’t anticipate that everyone else is too.”

It seems rather ridiculous that Turnbull would ignore Tony Abbott’s obvious ability as an extremely competent politician and public servant by not appointing Tony to a position in Cabinet. With such a proven track record and quite a favourable following, appointing Tony would be succour to the traditional Liberal base.

Turnbull isn’t the smartest person in the room if he can’t listen and learn. Lucy, give him a good smack over the ears … ‘cos sometimes G’pa doesn’t know everything …

Perhaps I should just leave this narrative here..

Your XYZ.
