Food for thought – Hinch see nothing

Over the last couple of days the news cycle has been congested with news stories, following the prolonged fallout of the election results, and we’re still not quite finished yet. A lot of my social media feed has been highlighting tabloid reports by the liberal media that targets the resurgence of One Nation (which is to be expected of these parasites).

One that caught my attention today was regarding a statement made by Senator elect Derryn Hinch about Senator elect Pauline Hanson:

“She is talking about having CCTV cameras in mosques, and people go, ‘Well, why don’t you put it in churches to keep an eye on the paedophile priests?’

“[It] doesn’t make sense.”

Now either Derryn’s a tad ignorant or deliberately lying to himself, but last I checked, Islam certainly isn’t immune to paedophilia amongst it’s adherents (which is unsurprising given the faith was constructed by a bloke who married a 6 year-old and who encouraged the mutilation of children’s genitals).

Why does Hinch think putting CCTV cameras in Christian churches would work, but not in mosques?

But the fact remains, Pauline Hanson’s policy goal to surveil mosques, isn’t so much focused on Derryn’s pet policy issue (i.e. naming and shaming paedophiles) but rather assisting national security measures (given the disproportionate involvement of Muslims in global terrorism).

Last I checked, I haven’t seen a Baptist shooting or stabbing police, Lutherans taking hostages or Catholics turning themselves into walking explosive devices.

Food for thought.
