Food for thought – From my cold dead hands

Today, unsurprisingly, their ABC were having a hissy fit about guns. They invoked criticism of the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) ad campaign that attacks Hillary’s and Obama’s praise of Australia’s gun buyback, and whinging about Germans buying guns as being a “worrying” trend that is “racist” against refugees because of “their Nazi past”.

Of course they made sure they drew upon social media commentary which overwhelmingly sided with their anti-gun position, which invoked hysteria around mass shootings (because as we know the utopia which the Marxists envision is one where government officials are the only ones allowed to bear arms).

In fact the Leftists are so trusting of gun control which favours government officials that they don’t see the irony of a prolific spree killer dressing up as a policemen and summarily hunting down their fellow comrades who are unarmed.

It’s further ironic that the police, who they faithfully believed would save them, were delayed for hours, which goes to the old truism “when seconds count, police are minutes away” (or hours in this case).

Frankly I’m a strong believer in the right to bear arms, as it is reasonable to conclude that it is better to have a gun and not need it, than to not have a gun and need it.

Food for thought.
